Okay, so perhaps I'm being a bit optimistic but the fact is that the official start of spring is less than 1 1/2 months away!!! And we couldn't be happier. We definitely have a case of cabin fever and can't wait to get outside and play. Abigail has been asking when we can go out and play on our playset. We're planning on bundling up and heading out there tomorrow. Hey, a swing still works in the snow!

We had a fun January that included lots of extra playmates and a visit from grandma and great grandma!!! The grandmas visited inauguration week so we had 4 generations in front of the TV for inauguration day which was a pretty neat. Abigail had an absolute blast with the grandmas and we were all sad to see them go. :-) We also had friends with us off and on throughout the month that we were helping take care of and the girls enjoyed that as well.

Big milestones in January were: 1) after many weeks of going back and forth on deciding what to do about preschool for Abigail in the fall we finally decided on our church's preschool...YEAH! I had no idea what a big process this is. I honestly think that the biggest reason for the difficulty is because we're fortunate enough to be in an area where there are so many wonderful options to choose from and picking one that works with your schedule is tough. anyway, when we went to visit her preschool she didn't want to leave so I'm quite certain she'll LOVE it! 2) after many weeks of Lydia practicing chewing on "real" food (i.e. non-pureed foods) we finally have progress! I had forgotten how long of a process it is learning how to chew foods. But in the last couple days our Lydia has been chomping into her crackers like a PRO! Go Lydia! 3) Now that Lydia is sitting up and almost crawling, she and Abigail love to play together and watching them do so is so funny! They are always giggling with one another and we've learned that Lydia loves Barbies! She takes after her big sister because Barbies consume much of Abigail's day. (Just like their mommy used to do!) In fact, daddy has even become quite the Barbie player!!! 4) I took the girls to their very first dance teem meet and we had so much fun! Abigail was so excited to go home and show daddy her kicks and to tell him she's going to be on a dance team some day! Lydia enjoyed the excitement too!

Off for now! Love and blessings to you all!
